How do I work?

Your are the focal point.

Maybe you are feeling lonely or due to the corona pandemic you lack a structure in your life. Maybe you have moved to the Netherlands from abroad. Maybe you feel the need to please people at all costs and you are keen to be in charge of your own life. Maybe you want to understand better your feelings and thoughts and wish to feel more confident during certain events. Maybe you want to be able to react in a more assertive way when interacting with certain people.

Probably as an employer you will have an employee in your team who suffers from stress, negative thoughts, anxiety or who does not feel part of the team. As a result, there is the chance that this person cannot flourish and use his or her full potential at the expense of his or her productivity. Don’t you think that this situation does not serve either of you?

Together we will look at the situation and focus on the lack of structure and the high amount of stress. In this process I will focus on your strengths, energy and on the types of behaviour that supports you. Also I aim to provide you with deeper insights that you can apply in your life. The activities that I use are pragmatic and straightforward. They will help you with understanding patterns of behaviour that don’t serve you and how to break these patterns.

Also I will show you which part of your brain is responsible for having worrying thoughts and how to handle these and calm yourself down. When thoughts change then feelings change accordingly, and vice versa.
As a life coach it is my privilege to facilitate you through the process. I listen and attend to you, but I cannot give you solutions on a plate. The power is within yourself! And I will facilitate the process to help you find the solutions from within.

My way of working is based on a combination of Transactional Analysis, Voice Dialogue, Neuro-coaching and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

For me, listening, empathy and being person-centred are key ingredients of the sessions.

As a stress and career coach I am focused, non-judgemental, energetic, empathic, respectful, engaged and genuine.

Walking 
Often I have consultations while walking through the woods in Amsterdam or the Middelpolder in Amstelveen. From experience I noticed that people tend to find it easier to tell their story while walking in nature. Besides the health benefits walking also reduces stress.

Online stress and career coaching
If you are too busy to see me face-to-face or if you prefer to talk online, then that is not a problem. I will adjust the online life coaching sessions to suit your needs and pace.
